About me
I am Zhilin Guo, a PhD student in Computer Science with Core Lab at University of Cambridge, supervised by Prof. Cengiz Öztireli. My research revolves around developing AI algorithms and tools that allow easy understanding, recreating, and editing of high-fidelity 3D scenes. It is an extension of my long-standing passion for machines to understand the real world for the purpose of creating digital realms with ease.
Before this, I completed my Master's degree in Computer Science at Columbia University. At the same time, I embarked on a research project supervised by Prof. Zhiguo Cao and Prof. Yang Xiao to use spatial-temporal 3D hand pose estimation for Parkinson's Disease evaluation, through which I developed invaluable insight into Computer Science research, especially in Computer Vision and Deep Learning.
My foundation in this field was laid at Boston University, from where I received my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Those years kindled my curiosity in Computers and Artificial Intelligence, shaping the trajectory of my future studies.
When I'm not immersed in research, I find solace in tennis, jogging, and painting miniature models. I am always looking for collaborations or simple exchanges on shared academic interests!
